At The PSC we want to hire the very best people.

To ensure this, we've instituted a recruitment approach that strives to minimise unconscious bias and ensure that we truly are hiring leading talent in each role and opportunity.

Among other things, this means that during the recruitement process we will not assess your CV until final round interviews to ensure we're recruiting the right people and not just the right CVs.

Step 1: Introductory Call

When recruiting for senior or specialised positions, we feel you should have the opportunity to speak to a member of the team in an informal setting prior to beginning your application. Our team is available to answer any questions you may have and clarify your understanding of the role, our company - plus how great is it to speak directly to a potential future colleague.  

Step 2: Unbiased Online Assessment

For the majority of our roles, applicants are required to complete a short timed problem-solving test (we strongly recommend working through our sample questions) - we have found this is the best way to test some key skills necessary for our consulting approach.

Most applicants are then required to complete short written (untimed) questions - these are aimed at demonstrating your writing skills. This way, we minimise bias by assessing your responses anonymously and with multiple reviewers. Interview time can then be focused on discussing in-depth examples of the work you might do in the role.

Step 3: Interviews

If your online application is successful we will invite you to interview. The interview will focus on consulting case studies to see how you structure problems and work through them.

We strongly recommend practising for this; there are lots of online resources available.

We usually hold two rounds of interviews – if you reach the second round you can expect to meet members of our senior leadership team. Each interviewer will be focusing on specific groups of skills. Don’t be surprised if some of your interviewers have not seen your CV – this is all part of removing bias.
