The PSC commits to carbon neutrality by 2021
The brand-new sustainability policy sets out our specific commitments to use sustainable suppliers and expand our positive impact with clients and partners
Building on The PSC’s fundamental belief that better public services are the key to a better society – The PSC’s sustainability policy commits us to driving positive, sustainable change across the public sector.
To ensure we play our role in society’s transition to a sustainable future, the policy focuses on social, environmental, and economic sustainability in everything we do at The PSC, including our work with partners – from clients to suppliers and contractors.
Our key sustainability goals are to:
- Achieve carbon neutrality by 2021
- Use 80% suppliers and partners with ambitious sustainability policies by 2025
- Expand our impact with clients, and partners by 2023
We will reach these goals by engaging staff and clients to achieve lasting sustainability across company-internal practices and the public sector. We aim to maximise the positive impact, and minimise the negative impact, of our business activities on society and the environment. All our employees will have a responsibility to contribute to this.
To kick things off, we shared our sustainability policy goals at our company away day, and reflected in small groups about what excites us, concerns us and what we will need to do to implement true change. Our growing sustainability team is taking these suggestions on board as we start the implementation phase.
We will continue to share updates as we set this policy in motion, but in the meantime, if you’d like to hear more about our sustainability policy, get in touch at hello@thepsc.co.uk.
