Hannah Mills
Senior Manager
Hannah is a leader in our Transformation practice at The PSC, dedicated to driving meaningful change in public services. Her experience spans strategy design, organisational transformation and change management.
She began her consulting career as part of the senior team at a start-up specialising in commercial strategy, data and analytics, delivering high-profile projects in healthcare, transport, education, business services and the third sector.
Hannah brings an analytical, practical and positive approach to clients and colleagues at The PSC. She inspires those around her and thrives in complex environments that require calm, logical and tenacious leadership. Project highlights include:
- Operating model design and implementation for a large Integrated Care Board (ICB) in the North East, working as delivery partner to NHS Trust colleagues, Local Councils, Community Care providers and Voluntary Care Sector Enterprises. The number of hospital discharges into the community rose by 16% and average length of stay for complex patients with no criteria to reside fell by 50-60%.
- Evaluation of Urgent and Emergency Care pathways across an Integrated Care System in the North West, including root cause analysis for drivers of cost growth, national benchmarking and development of improvement plans to financial and performance challenges.
- A data-driven assessment of funding flows for an ICB in the North West to identify and address allocative inequity across primary care, acute, community, Continuing Health Care, and mental health services.
- Planning and implementation for the enhancement of NHS 111 in the South East region, a national programme aimed at offering a safer way for the public to access appropriate urgent care.
- Delivery support for the roll out of Same Day Emergency Care in the South East, involving 20+ providers and organisations across five Integrated Care Systems.
- Training programmes to leaders and teams across public and third sector, including Department for Work and Pensions, Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, ONS, Ofgem, Ofcom and the Cabinet Office, with particular focus on analytical thinking and rapid delivery.
Outside work, Hannah can be found in the library or on the running track.
