Maurits is known for his creative approach to problem-solving and comfort in confronting complex problems. He's passionate about working on mental health and inequalities, using his emotional and social literacy to tackle related problems holistically.

With a background in economic and ethnographic research, Maurits used to work with GO's where he saw the need for change in public services. Joining the PSC in early 2022 from another consultancy, he has worked across strategy and transformation projects with highlights including:

• Working with an NHS Trust to reduce out of area placements for patients with mental health needs
• Leading a digital exploration for an NHS Trust on a new approach to support individuals facing mental health crises
• Conducting activity and capacity modelling for an NHS Trust to help plan their chest clinic's future

Maurits is originally from the Netherlands and thus takes every opportunity outside of work to head out onto the water to sail or row.  He's also a regular at his local cinema as a dedicated cinephile.
