A digital specialist who has won multiple awards and led many successful transformations across Government, Phil has been with The PSC since 2019 and is our first ever Digital Director. Phil’s drive, optimism, and unflappability have helped our clients achieve major savings and improvements in user satisfaction, while resolving some of their most complex and intractable problems.

After work at the BBC, Government Digital Service, and Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Phil’s work at The PSC includes:

• Leading from Discovery to Public Beta a flagship product for the UK Space Agency, Monitor your Satellites, helping UK satellite operators evade space debris.
• Delivering a major increase in scanning in hospital theatres, a key part of the NHS’ Digital Safety Strategy, freeing up valuable front-line staff time
• Ensuring emergency home-to-school transport during the COVID lockdown, allowing learners to get to school or college despite social distancing measures.

Academically, Phil has qualifications in English Literature, Economics, and International Development and this multidisciplinary background helps him to bring a broad range of analysis to all the problems he works on. Phil also has many years’ experience in unsuccessful indie bands.
