Delivering measurable improvements
We’ve supported over 20 hospital systems to improve Urgent & Emergency Care, Discharge Performance and Admission Avoidance and we’ve been nationally recognised for our work by NHS England and as winners at the HSJ Awards.
60% reduction in delayed patients across Hull and East Riding
We worked with health, social care and VCSE partners to co-design and implement a new integrated discharge model across Hull and East Riding. The programme reduced delayed patients by 60%+, released the equivalent of 60 beds and reduced post-NCTR length of stay by 48%.
14–17-point improvement in ED performance at Imperial
We supported Imperial College Healthcare and NHS London to redesign patient flow across emergency and inpatient pathways using our “Sprint-Sustain” methodology. Imperial improved Type 1 ED performance by 14–17 percentage points against the national trend, while staff reported feeling more in control of patient flow.
50% increase in SDEC throughput at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells
We supported NHS South East and local systems to design and implement Same Day Emergency Care models that reduced avoidable admissions and improved patient flow. At Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells, medical take through SDEC increased by 50%, contributing to a 14% reduction in bedded admissions.
9-point improvement in 4-hour performance at Hampshire Hospitals
We worked with Hampshire Hospitals to diagnose operational pressures and implement end-to-end urgent and emergency care improvements across ED and inpatient pathways. The Trust improved 4-hour performance by 9 percentage points against the national average, reduced ambulance delays by 40% and cut ward length of stay by 11–16%.
