Strengthening responsible AI in government: Antonio Weiss joins the GDS Responsible AI Advisory Panel

Supporting the safe, transparent, and responsible use of AI across UK public services.

We’re delighted to share that Senior Partner, Antonio Weiss, has been appointed to serve on the Government Digital Service (GDS) Responsible AI Advisory Panel, supporting efforts to guide the responsible use of AI across UK public services.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming how governments deliver services and support citizens. As adoption accelerates, ensuring that these technologies are implemented responsibly, transparently, and in the public interest is critical.

The panel’s role will involve investigating and sharing expertise on how AI can be deployed successfully and responsibly across government, helping ensure that innovation is balanced with accountability and public trust.

“We are still in the “in-between” phase of AI adoption, where the greatest benefits for society are still being discovered. Governments must approach this moment with curiosity, humility, and responsibility – recognising both the opportunities and the challenges. The goal is not simply to deploy new technologies, but to ensure they deliver meaningful and equitable outcomes for citizens.”

       – Antonio Weiss, Senior Partner

We’re keen to hear from others passionate about responsible AI, bringing diverse perspectives into the discussion. If you’d like to share your thoughts, get in touch with Antonio Weiss – we’d welcome a conversation.  As part of this role, any potential conflicts of interest will be managed transparently and appropriately on both sides to ensure integrity in the panel’s work.
