This interactive course equips public service professionals with a clear, practical understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) — what it is, how it works, and why it matters. Participants will explore how AI can enhance both frontline delivery and strategic decision-making, and will take part in hands-on exercises to apply AI directly to their own roles.
Module 1: Introduction to AI

Module 2: Exploring AI's potential
- Building transformative use cases for Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, and other types of AI

Module 3: Bringing vision to reality
- Considering how AI solutions can be implemented effectively and seamlessly
- Navigating the commercial, ethical and regulatory considerations around AI in public services
Module 4: 'Hack-a-thon'
- Working in teams to develop AI-enabled solutions to participants' own real public service challenges
- Connecting with tools, resources, and communities of practice further support
