Staying True to Our Mission
With the political party conference season almost upon us, The PSC will be hosting content pieces around the topic of Governing in the 21st Century.
Our mission of making public services brilliant is at the heart of all that we do. And with a general election on the horizon next year, we want to pose, ignite, and facilitate healthy debate surrounding what governance and public service reform could look like in the future.
What to Expect?
Masterful discussion, energy, passion and of course, our own views and experiences given our front-line exposure and support of public services over the last 17 years.
We will be covering three party conferences:
We will be hosting an In Conversation podcast with Alan Leaman OBE, former Lib Dem Director of Strategy, speechwriter to Paddy Ashdown, was the CEO of the industry association for management consultancies (The MCA) from 2008 until 2019 and was awarded the OBE for political and public service. We will be engaging Alan on the current landscape, how we can grow the UK’s economy and what other nations we should be looking to for inspiration. Alan will be in conversation with Dr Antonio Weiss, Senior Partner and Smriti Singh, Associate Partner, at The PSC.
We will be hosting an In Conversation podcast with James Friend, former special advisor to Jeremy Hunt as Secretary of State for Health, James has also twice served as Leader of Mole Valley District Council and is currently Chair of Good Shepherd Trust a Multi-Academy Trust with 18 schools and is Director of Digital Strategy at NHS England – London Region. He will be in conversation with Jonathan Chappell, Senior Partner at The PSC, discussing public service reform, the future of healthcare and more...
We are hosting a Fringe Event on 8 October 15:00-16:30 at The ACC Liverpool (Meeting Room C). Jonathan Chappell of The PSC will be chairing our guest panellists on Governing in the 21st Century. It is set to be an impactful and insightful line up, including commentary from Rosie Collington (co-author of The Big Con), Anna Dixon (CEO of the Centre for Ageing Better and Labour Parliamentary Candidate), Axel Heitmueller (CEO of ICHP), Jonathan Slater (former permanent secretary at the Department for Education) and Antonio Weiss (Senior Partner at The PSC).
Stay tuned as we continue to share insights on the party conferences and what it means for our public services in the future.
