
Lord Victor Adebowale
Advisory Network Chair
Lord Victor Adebowale is the Advisory Network Chair for The PSC. He is Chair of the NHS Confederation, Social Enterprise UK, Portakabin and IPPR, and was Joint Chair of the BMJ Health Commission in 2023–2024. Victor is Co-founder and Chair of Visionable UK, Founding Chair of Collaborative CIC, and Founder of Leadership in Mind. In 2021, he founded the Chair of the NHS Race and Health Observatory.
In addition to these roles, Victor is a Visitor at St Catherine’s College, Oxford, Visiting Professor at the University of Lincoln, and an honorary fellow of both the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Earlier Career
Victor was previously CEO of Turning Point, supporting over 100,000 people annually, and served as a Non-Executive Director for NHS England and the Co-operative Group. He has chaired national commissions on policing, employment, mental health, housing, and social equity.
He holds an MA in Advanced Organisational Consulting and was awarded a CBE for services to the unemployed and homeless. In 2001 he became a crossbench peer, and in 2023 received the Outstanding Contribution to Public Health Award.
