The PSC and Virginia Mason Institute partner to support The NHS England Mental Health Quality Improvement Programme
We're thrilled about this partnership to deliver a multi-year programme to support The NHS England Quality Improvement Programme focused on delivering reforms to the Mental Health Act.
The PSC and Virginia Mason Institute have formed a partnership to support The NHS England Quality Improvement Programme focused on delivering reforms to the Mental Health Act.
The work will bring together Virginia Mason Institute’s global health & care cultural change expertise with The PSC’s national award-winning approach to delivery in a programme that will improve care of patients detained under the Act and impact on most mental health NHS Trusts in England.
A key dimension of the work is to co-produce improvements with experts-by-experience – those who access the very services that the reforms aim to improve – thereby ensuring that any changes will have the most impact for citizens.

Chris Bradley, Senior Partner, The PSC said: “We have a lot to learn from Virginia Mason Institute’s approach to long-term, sustainable culture change and are excited to know that our partnership will benefit thousands of people across England.”
"We are thrilled to announce our partnership with The PSC. Together, we aim to inspire and guide a Quality Improvement philosophy that benefits both service users and providers across NHS England's mental health provision." - Wendy Korthuis-Smith, Executive Director, Virginia Mason Institute.
