Harris Lorie

Associate Partner

Harris is known at The PSC for getting the best out of his clients and colleagues, implementing change tenaciously and thoughtfully, being a supportive listener and mentor, and staying calm under pressure. He has dedicated his career to improving public and community services, so The PSC is a natural fit.

Harris specialises in programme leadership, organisation development, transformational improvement and supporting his clients to make change happen on the ground.

Project highlights include:

  • Empowering over 20 teams across a large mental health provider to scale up initiatives achieving reductions in patients’ lengths of stay on psychiatric wards, and reducing inappropriate out-of-area placements from 34 to zero in the space of 4 months
  • Supporting the roll-out of NHS 111 First in 19 multi-organisation health systems across South East England
  • Equipping a large community healthcare provider to establish an innovative approach for managing patient waiting times - which was recognised as a national award finalist
  • Working with an acute healthcare provider to boost the number of patients being treated in same day emergency care by over 50%
  • Supporting a nationally renowned mental health trust to kick-start a patient flow transformation programme – with the Chief Operating Officer commenting that “It’s been exactly what we needed … you’ve hit the right blend of instruction, role modelling and support”.

When not at work, you’ll find Harris out running, playing table tennis and providing a taxi service for his two young boys. Harris is also a governor at a school for young people with learning disabilities.
