Mikoto Nakajima

Mikoto brings her passion for improving health and social care for vulnerable populations to her work at The PSC. She is known to approach her projects thoughtfully to maximise impact in complex environments, while supporting teams and clients in nurturing their personal drive and wellbeing.
Mikoto uses her clinical psychology background to build meaningful connections with service users and empower frontline staff to drive positive change. Her projects so far have included:
- Designing an investment roadmap of digital technology to support care for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism for an Integrated Care System, led by lived experience engagements
- Developing the community-based Same Day Emergency Care provision across the South East region with NHSE
- Supporting frontline staff to implement operational changes in a mental health inpatient service to improve their discharge process and patient flow
- Conducting and publishing primary research on High Intensity Users of A&E’s for the British Red Cross
Outside of work, Mikoto is likely to be found in a yoga studio, kickboxing gym, or strolling in the streets with her film camera.
